22nd February 2012 Windsurfing: felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: OK chop Air Temperature: 6.5 Sea Temperature: 5.8 Weather: cloud then light rain Max Speed: 23 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 15.5 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Took the afternoon off work. Didn't look windy but 105l/7.3m OK. 20 yard wind shadow getting out. Nice riding around but scared of falling in the cold, so fell in a lot. Snug in my Snugg suit but hands got cold and grip goes. Warmed up after a while. Came in to persuade Vix to come out, and bet she wished she hadn't as straps to small to get set in and cold. Changed to 94l/6m, then got tired and packed up as was going to get cold in light rain. Pinged fin off on way in, but amazingly found it by b***ard rock on beach. Sea nicer than usual in this wind so maybe sandbanks are working for us this year. Daz came but didn't bother. |
